Dreamworld Gold Coast

dreamworld gold coast How To Get There?

Dreamworld is located on the eastern side of the Pacific Motorway at Oxenford, in close proximity to Movie World and Wet'N Wild, and is about 15 minutes from Surfers Paradise by car.

Leaving the Gold Coast, head north out of Surfers and look for the Brisbane road sign at Smith Street - turn left, and you'll get there.

When you think about Dreamworld, think about Disneyland or the Australian version of it. It is truely a 'full on full day' fun experience.

We had the best fun.

Mind you, rides like the Tower of Terror accelerating downwards from almost 40 stories high at speeds of up to 160 km/h have an unusual (gulp) sensation on your stomach. dreamworld gold coast

Need a bit more? OK, Let's head for Thunderbolt; followed by Wipeout and then we relaxed by gripping the edge of our seats while watching adventure films on the six story high screen. dreamworld gold coast

Everywhere we looked there was something to do to entertain children and adults alike. dreamworld gold coast

Without doubt Dreamworld's Tiger Island, is a unique experience and as a wild life lover it was the highlight of the visit for me. dreamworld gold coast

They have designed a beautiful natural habitat to show us five Bengal tigers, three gold and two white, cared for by a team of dedicated handlers.

Tiger Island at Dreamworld is 'one' of only 'two' in the world and during our visit we saw the handlers play games with the tigers, swim in the pool and see the unique relationship that bonded them with these beautiful animals.

Tiger Island has received well deserved publicity since its creation for, not only it beautiful white and gold Bengal Tigers, but for its successful captive breeding program helping to sustain this endangered species.

Wouldn't have missed it for the world.

We visited all Eleven Worlds that make up the Gold Coast's Dreamworld.

We hit Main Street and Central Plaza; then on to Rocky Hollow; to Blue Lagoon and Koala Country fore a relax.

Then we got our bodies moving again to Ocean Parade; Gold Rush Country; Gum Tree Gully; Tiger Island; Kennyland; Nick Central and Australian Wildlife Experience.

Don't worry, if you have small kids there's plenty for them to do and a number of less daring rides, plus some educational fun and games at various wildlife shows like Slime Bowl and with Kenny Koala and Friends in the Park.
