Gold Coast Golf Courses

Gold Coast Golf Courses are without doubt some of Australia's most magnificent. Manicured to picture perfect perfect condition while basking in 300 days sunshine a year is it any wonder it is sometimes referred to as the "Golf Coast." Here's is a sample of them:

Emerald Lakes Gold Club
Nestled at the foot of the hinterland with picturesque scenery. Designed by Graham Marsh, one of few courses to have nine holes floodlit for night golf (par 36).


Gainsborough Greens Gold Club
Type 328 couch greens. Relatively flat course, easy walking, well bunkered. Water on twelve holes. Irrigated greens, tees, fairways. Plenty of wildlife. Neat dress code, short socks permitted. Soft spikes required. Friendly club atmosphere.


Glades Gold Club
Magnificent Greg Norman championship design course, with manicured GN1 couch fairways and elevated slick Bent greens. Very undulating. Classic bunkering and water in play on several holes. Nine hectares of wetlands home to ducks, jabirus, egrets and other birdlife. Soft spikes required. Strict dress code, short socks permitted.


Hope Island Golf Club
Links style golf course. Designed by TWP team. Reminiscent of traditional links courses combined with the luxury of the resort facilities. Colour GPS equipped golf cars. Immaculately groomed tees, wintergreen couch fairways, bunkers, Bermuda grass greens. 128 pot bunkers, grassy mounds and plenty of water. Open 365 days. Neat dress code, short socks permitted.


Lakelands Gold Club
The first Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course in Australia is a perfectly manicured, undulating course designed to test the novice or the professional alike. Choice of five tee positions the layout offers challenging shots featuring strategic bunkers and meandering waterways. Slick tifdwarf greens provide a superior putting surface.


Palm Meadows Gold Club

Designed by Graham Marsh, this championship layout staged Australia’s richest Tournament. Water is in play on 14 holes, along with 82 bunkers. 11 km of cart paths provide an all weather course. From the opening hole with its menacing bamboo clump this is a true test of golf. The final hole is regarded as one of Australia’s best par 5’s and was voted recently by American Golf Digest as one of the World’s top 500 golf holes. Palm Meadows undertook $3 million in renovations at the end of 2002. All 18 tees and greens were replaced along with the electric cart fleet, now has 85 carts. Open to the public year round with no preferred tee times for members.


Paradise Springs Gold Club
Club House stunning colonial Queenslander design, lunch and bar open daily. Breathtaking views over course to hinterland from theverandahs. Locker room, golf shop, drink cart, tennis court.

Parkwood International Gold Club

Parkwood International mixes the best features of a traditional Australian golf course with the Gold Coast Resort style. Set in naturally undulating bushland the course combines established eucalypts with imported palm trees. There is a series of lakes and ponds in play on many holes, with the ninth green almost surrounded by water. The elevated clubhouse overlooks eight holes and visitors will be made most welcome.


Robina Woods Gold Club
Designed by Marsh & Watson and opened in 1989. The rolling fairways are set amongst stately stands of towering eucalypts, natural waterways and lakes. There are some hills to climb, but many golfers will prefer to walk. The course has superb drainage and is open year round.
