"Sea World" is the first of the Gold Coast's World entertainment parks. It was built by entrepreneur, Keith Williams, and opened in 1971.

It's located on The Spit facing The Broadwater, which is like a finger of sand that separates the ocean and the Broadwater. This wonderful marine park is built on 25-hectare and is the biggest in Australia.

It is like a 'one-stop-shop' of fun and entertainment and while we don't go there all the time we have all been many times over the years.

Sea World is a 'must visit' place if you have never been.

It has great rides, like the Three Loop Corkscrew, a definate 'pit-of-your-stomach experience, if that's what turns you on. sea world gold coast

Stay glued to your seat as the Waterskiing show takes your breath away. The Ski Challenge, is action packed from 'go to whoa' with stunt and thrills as well as the swashbuckling Pirates 3D Adventure. sea world gold coast

There is also Lasseters Lost Mine, a great attraction that takes you on a bumpy train like ride through a mine looking for the lost Reef of Gold. sea world gold coast

As I said earlier, this is a one-stop-shop of fun and excitement and even has its own Hotel, the Nara Sea World Hotel - attached to the complex. If you stay at the hotel you can get free entry to the SW Park under certain conditions. sea world gold coast

Without doubt their latest attraction, The Polar Bears, is very 'Special'. Polar Bear Shores is Australia's premier display of polar bears in a no expense spared enclosure for the Polar bear cubs Lia and her brother Lutik. This exhibit is world class. sea world gold coast

The exuberant cubs have joined the big bears Ping Ping and Kanook, and will charm you with their cuddly cuteness and gambolling high spirited antics. You won't want to move on from the polar bears.

"Cartoon Network Cartoon Beach," is The Place for the toon stars. Tom and Jerry, Dexter and Dee Dee, The Powerpuff Girls, Cow and Chicken, and Johnny Bravo. This is Kids Heaven - believe me.

'Woody's Beachtrucks', lets Kids drive the highways. Or grab a seagull's view from the top of 'Toonpoint Lighthouse'. Why not take to the skies in the 'Air-See Rescue' choppers and then relax in 'Dexter¹s Time Machine', a dancing fountain with cool surprises!

These are just a few of the major items that make up Sea World. However if you catch the News, every now and then, you'll also hear about the serious work the Sea World staff of experts do in saving many sea creatures from long cruel deaths.

They being these injured animals back to Sea World and help them recoverand then release them back into the wild.
